Canadian Music Blog EP Review

What a way to start off my day! I am beyond humbled and grateful for this review. I woke up this morning to the link below in my email and let’s just say it was the best kind of gift to wake up to. Thank you so much to everyone at Sleeping Bag Studios. I put my heart and soul into that EP and I’m so thrilled you guys loved the songs as much as I did writing and recording them.

“The best part is that Marga Lane has every bit of the talent necessary to keep up with her amazing songwriting skills.  This isn’t a songwriter that should ever be handing off her material for others to sing and perform; she has ounces of audibly-measurable talent and if this isn’t the sound of a determined artist giving it their all, well then I’ve honestly never heard it.” - SBS BLOG

Let me see you Jump Jump… THRU FIRE! ; ) With Valentines day right around the corner, ladies you best be telling your man to jump thru that fire.

This was a fun song to write and record. Enjoy a Free DL of my acoustic version of “Jumpin’ Thru Fire”.

All Better Now (acoustic release)

Sometimes we hold on to what we already know to be lost just for the fear that nothing better will come along. Afraid to loose the love you built and even more scared to love someone again. To be vulnerable and to let someone in your world after you’ve been betrayed. We have all been there. You want to know that all the words said and feelings felt were real. That they meant something. But things happen and words hold no weight. Feelings change and people make mistakes.

When you’re not getting the love you want sometimes you think that giving more of yours will get it for you. It doesn’t. But, then all of a sudden one day you wake up and realize you are much better off without that person. I can’t explain how it happens, you know a change of heart that is. To try all over again. To make new memories and hopefully get it right this time around. And hopefully when that happens you’ll listen to my song and sing “I’m all Better Now”. ; )

Lance Bass’ “Dirty Pop” XM Radio Interview

LanceBass2I had the opportunity to perform as well as chat with Lance Bass for his SiriusXM radio show, Dirty Pop. It was an honor to speak with such a talented and humble man and someone who I admired growing up during my obsessive ‘Nsync fan days. It was such a great day and I am still on cloud 9. Peep a few of the photos below and see  a snippet of what Lance had to say about me and my music right  HERE.

Hello 2014

Out with the old, In with the new! Hello 2014, I’m ready for you!

Last year was by far one of my most personally productive and successful years I’ve had since moving to LA. I released my EP, “Expressions”. I played over 30 shows. I got some amazing reviews from blogs all around the world. I got to be a part of the first ever monthly event, “The B Side”, hosted by a good friend of mine. I was blessed to be able to connect with a ton of new fans and share my music. I had the pleasure of being on the Bianca Bee Show. I fell in love and wrote one of my favorite songs, I got my heart torn apart and also wrote one of my all time favorite songs. lol  Lastly, (because I could go on forever talking about all the blessings I received last year)  I got to work with and meet some amazing people and musicians. The journey was not easy, but looking back at the memories and the bonds I made with these people I can say it was all worth it. Every minute. Every second.

I am really looking forward to this upcoming year. So far, it’s off to a great start. I will be on Lance Bass’ (from Nsync) XM radio show, “Dirty Pop”, this wednesday 3pm PST. I’ll be playing a few songs as well as speaking with Lance. The 14yr old little girl inside of me is low key freaking out. I will also be releasing new music every 2/3 weeks for the next couple of months, for what I’m calling “The M Series”. All of these songs are ones that didn’t make it onto the EP, or brand new songs I want to share with you. You can check out the very first song of this series  right HERE. I’ve also got a few other surprises and goodies for you. Stay tuned…

As always thank you for your continued support. Now, let’s make this year even better than last!

Marga Lane

Skope Magazine Review

I am very humbled by the review on my music and more specifically my EP. A special thank you to Rebecca Hosking over at Skope Magazine for the kind words. It is definitely a wonderful thing to be recognized for your hard work. To read the article, CLICK HERE –>> SKOPE MAGAZINE

“The entire CD from the second it begins to the very last moment is a musical experience you will not soon forget. Lane feeds your emotions in the most graceful ways. Very rarely does an artist come along that rears me speechless. The name “Marga Lane” should be a new word added to Webster’s dictionary and the definition be defined as perfection.” – SKOPE MAGAZINE

A SPECIAL thank you to all the amazing blogs that have written such wonderful words about my EP and my music. I am overwhelmed by all the love I have been receiving. Check out all the websites below.
